U14 Boys Kick-Off Season with a Win

On Sunday our U14A Boys played Altona City in appalling conditions. Their victory was well deserved considering the extreme wet, cold and gale force winds weather conditions. A 2:0 win was the impressive final result.

The day started disappointly when the referee didn’t turn up (maybe the weather scared him off!).

Geelong won the toss and elected to kick with the wind giving them an advantage. In the first half they scored 1 goal with an impressive 20 meter left foot strike from Josh Talevl. A few minutes later Christian Blagojevic aimed for goal but his effort from distance hit the post.

At half time coach Peter Stojanovski fired up the young players which resulted in a far more impressive 2nd half. Our boys went further ahead from another pearler of a goal by Mario Kustura.

The defence led by Joey Salvia held tight with some impressive saves by keeper Dylan Nikolovski.

The young players should be very proud of there performance on Sunday which has indicated an overall improvement from all the players and some great talent from our new players.

WELL DONE BOYS!
