U16’s WIN AGAIN  3-2

GeelongSC U16 girls recorded another win against Barwon Heads, mainly due to the VERY determined affort by Racheal. Given the task to be be the spearhead of our attacking defence, Rachael suppressed all of her unwellness to lead Geelong to a sterling victory.

An under-manned and injury stricken Geelong was once again forced to battle hard to earn their points. Being 0-1 down at the break, the girls banded togerther to overcome their full strength opponents. They lead into open spaces to create opportunities that eventuated in a victory to Geelong. Without a dought the highlight of the game was witnessing Racheal celebrate her hard earned goal to put Geelong 2-1 up with 10 minutes to play. Things looked dire with only minutes to spare and the game was tied at 2-2. Superb creative play by Racheal was enough to send Millie on her way to score her goal of the day and seal another victory for Geelong.

Once again the defence lead by Amber stood the test of time. A SUPER effort by all.
