Since the parting of company between Scott Miller and Geelong Soccer Club it’s been a hectic month for the club. Pece (Spiker) Stojevski was appointed as new senior coach a week before the season kicked off.
With the departure of several key players through work commitments, injuries in the preseason cup and transfers the club had to franticly go on a recruiting campaign to stave-off any suggestion of relegation for this proud and strong club.
However after a fortnight of back to back wins things are finally looking up for the club. Our new signings are starting to settle in well.
New signings are; Tijani brothers Farouk and Tanner. Ace Stojevski former Carlton player from the old NSL, a seasoned campaigner who has played for several clubs in the Premier League adding much needed experience to the fold, the club also welcomes back young Phil Petreski who had a short stint in the Altona Magic youth team, also the Ptsimaris brothers Daniel and Chris are welcomed additions to Geelong’s youth development policy.
All the players need to continue working hard for each other as they have done in the previous two weeks and we will be sure to finish at the top end of the table come seasons end.
This coming week will be the true test of steel for our squad with a tough match against second placed Moreland City at home.
Hope to see plenty of support for our boys!
