Our GRFA Men’s team have hit their stride, this time beating Bell Park 3-2 away.
With a usual slow start to the game, GeelongSC was on the receiving end conceding an early goal. Sloppy defensive work put GeelongSC under pressure. But with hard work from Steve Vangelovski and the midfield the boys pulled one goal back just before half time. Steve Vangelovski adding his 3rd goal in 2 games.
In the second half GeelongSC were out for blood applying massive pressure. Bell Park was rattled, GeelongSC capitalised when Miki had a shot on goal, the ball spilling to the feet of Rob Nikoloski who found himself at the right place at the right time, finishing to make the score 2-1. George Dimovski added to the score 10 minutes later after chesting down a cross before blasting the ball high into the roof of the net.
Bell Park made a come back, scoring a second goal but time beat them leaving geelongSC victorious. Big congrats to GeelongSC’s keeper Tom Josifovski who made some remarkable saves and truly kept GeelongSC in the game.
Next week Geelong plays Barwon at home with a kick off time of 3:00pm. Top 4 spot up for grabs with a win for either side.
