A spirited effort by Amy Doj was not enough to prevent the top the ladder Surf Coast from easily trouncing the Geelong Open Women 10 goals to nil. An injury prone Geelong struggled to match the highly fit and skilful Surf Coast. Geelong were out played and out paced all afternoon and had to resign themselves to chasing Surf Coast all day. The young Amy Doj who has stepped up as keeper can hold her head up high knowing that her “gutsy” effort was the only bright and promising sign that Geelong displayed.
